(St. Louis, MO) — The St. Louis Cardinals bullpen will be without one of its top players for at least two weeks. St. Louis placed reliever Giovanny Gallegos on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder impingement. Gallegos has been a strong option out of the bullpen since coming to St. Louis in 2018, but he’s 2-and-1 with a 12.00 ERA in 13 games this season. The team called up right-hander Chris Roycroft to replace Gallegos on the roster.
