The gift is an endowment for both programs and will be used to support the overall budgets of the teams. The Burriers have previously established endowed scholarships for men’s and women’s golf.

“We can’t thank Bernie and Pam enough for stepping up and supporting our program time and again,” said MSU women’s head coach Kevin Kane. “They’re always asking what they can do to help. Their support and friendship mean more than they will ever know.”

“This is truly a remarkable gift to the golf programs,” said Neal Stafford, MSU men’s golf head coach. “Bernie and Pam’s generosity, encouragement, support and most importantly friendship over the years has been absolutely amazing.  Our golf programs are filled with tradition, and the Burrier’s gift will make a huge impact on the team for many years to come!”

Avid golfers in the Springfield community and fans of the Missouri State golf programs, the Burriers have made numerous gifts to The Bears Fund over the years. They have also funded a baseball scholarship and provided financial support of the Juanita Q. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.

This significant gift is part of the university’s Onward-Upward Campaign.
