Mizzou Athletics’ Top 10 COVID-19 Mitigation Efforts

As you make plans to attend next weekend’s Mizzou Football season-opener against Alabama, we need all Tigers to adhere to the COVID-19 mitigation efforts listed below in order to have fans at future home games:

1.     Health Check – If you are ill or have COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and cheer on the Tigers while watching the game from the comfort of your own home on ESPN and make plans to be at Faurot Field Oct. 17 for the Homecoming game against Vanderbilt.

2.     Parking – Fans should arrive early to avoid traffic congestion, park their vehicle, gather game gear and walk directly to the stadium for entrance. Do not gather in parking lots to socialize. All parking lots open 3 hours prior to kick-off and lining up before lots open is prohibited.

3.     No Tailgating – There will be no tailgating allowed on university-owned property, including parking lots and grass areas adjacent to parking lots. Fans may not bring nor set up items normally associated with a tailgate such as lawn chairs, coolers, grills, tents, canopies, tables, etc.

4.     Face Coverings – Wear your face covering upon exit from your vehicle. Face coverings will be required at ALL times for ALL individuals. Anyone, who refuses to properly wear a face covering will be denied access and/or removed from the stadium. Face coverings must be worn over the nose and mouth.

5.     Tickets – Remember to download your game tickets from your account before leaving home for a seamless entry into Memorial Stadium. You can download your tickets at www.mutigers.com/myaccount before heading out to the game.

6.     Seating – Many fans were reassigned new seating locations and it is critical to sit in those seats to maintain social distancing.

7.     Clear Bag Policy –  All bags are strongly discouraged. If you choose to bring a bag, the clear bag policy remains in effect for the 2020 season, per Southeastern Conference regulations.

8.     Stadium Entry – Prepare to enter the stadium early. Gates will open 2 hours prior to kickoff. Respect other fans’ wishes for physical distancing and avoid crowding at entry.

9.     Concessions – Plexiglass barrier shields have been installed in concession stands throughout Memorial Stadium to ensure everyone’s safety and many stands will feature cashless points of sale in addition to limited menu offerings.

10.  Fan Flow/Zones –We ask that all fans pay close attention to their assigned zone when entering and exiting Memorial Stadium, as well as using the appropriate restrooms and concession stands. The zones were created in an effort to maintain social distancing throughout the facility at all times, and we encourage fans to remain in their seats as much as possible to limit congestion on the concourses.

11.  Departing Memorial Stadium – Use your own judgment when departing the stadium. Take your time while leaving and respect others desire for physical distancing. There will be no tailgating or social gatherings allowed in the parking lots after the game.

We understand that every person has a unique perspective of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some are fearless, others cautious. Our measures will be too restrictive for some and too lenient for others. All we ask is that you respect others, follow our guidelines and cheer loudly for the Tigers!
