COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball (9-5) concludes its five-game homestand this Tuesday-Wednesday with Northern Illinois visiting Mid-Missouri. First pitch both nights is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT.
Both midweek contests at Taylor Stadium will broadcast live on SEC Network + via WatchESPN. Ben Arnet and former Chicago White Sox All-Star third baseman Joe Crede will be on the call.
Fans can also tune-in to KTGR (105.1 FM, 100.5 FM, 1580 AM) Tuesday-Wednesday and throughout the entire 2020 season, as Tex Little and Matt Michaels will be on the radio airwaves.

Series History vs. Northern Illinois
- Mizzou trails in the all-time series, 1-0.
- The two teams’ lone all-time meeting was 11 years ago (Feb. 28, 2009) in a neutral site matchup in Tempe, Arizona. The Huskies produced a 5-2 victory.
Mizzou Sweeps Western Illinois, Pushes Winning Streak to Five
- The Tigers continued their momentum from the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic during their home-opening series vs. Western Illinois (March 6-8), sweeping the Leathernecks and pushing their winning streak to five games.
- Mizzou enjoyed a strong weekend throughout the roster, as its offense hit .278 with 4 2B, 3B, 4 HR, 20 RBI and 10 SB, while its pitching staff posted a 3.33 ERA, 38 K’s over 27.0 IP and held the opposition to a .220 average.
- Senior SS Austin James stole the show offensively, hitting a home run in all three games against Western Illinois. The Valrico, Florida, native drove in seven runs, while posting a .417 OBP, 1.200 SLG% and 1.617 OPS.
- Senior DH Peter Zimmermann had a monster series finale against the Leathernecks, registering a career-high four RBI and three hits, highlighted by a two-run home run in the first inning.
- On the bump, junior RHP Trey Dillard earned saves in each of the final two games, while junior RHP Ian Bedell, junior RHP Konnor Ash and freshman RHP Spencer Miles each produced a win as the game’s starting pitcher.
Belk and Dillard Excelling in National Ranks
- Redshirt Junior 1B Brandt Belk and junior RHP Trey Dillard are enjoying success in the early stages of the season and making waves nationally. Belk’s outstanding .457 (21-for-46) average currently ranks 14th in the NCAA and second in the Southeastern Conference. Additionally, the Houston native’s .544 on-base percentage ranks 26th in the NCAA and fourth in the SEC.
- On the mound, Dillard has solidified his role as the Tigers’ closer with four saves over seven total appearances. The four saves ranks 11th in the NCAA and first in the SEC.
