HOUSTON, Texas – Mizzou Baseball (6-5) concluded its long road trip Sunday afternoon at Minute Maid Park with a 9-8 win over Texas. The Tigers were victorious in their final two contests at the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic this weekend. Mizzou has won two-of-three in each of their three weekend series thus far this season.
The Tigers offense showed out against Longhorns pitching Sunday, producing nine runs on 13 hits. Redshirt Junior Brandt Belk and senior Peter Zimmermann led the way, recording four and three hits, respectively.
Redshirt Freshman Luke Mann and junior Chad McDaniel also contributed in the Tigers lineup. Mann tallied his first multi-hit game this season, while McDaniel produced his second multi-RBI effort this year.
