MLB Can Lay Off Coaches, Managers Starting May 1

Major League Baseball teams can lay off coaches and managers starting May 1st.

MLB commissioner Rob Manfred suspended uniform employee contacts that cover about 9,000 people, including general managers on some teams as of May 1st.

This will allow teams to lay off or cut the pay of major and minor league managers, coaches, trainers and full-time scouts.
