The Denver Post reports that Blackmon, left-handed pitcher Phillip Diehl and right-hander Ryan Castellani tested positive after taking part in recent workouts at Coors Field.
The news comes as Major League Baseball players are preparing to report to their home parks to begin ramping up preparations for the 2020 season. MLB and its players just finalized safety protocols Tuesday evening that paved the way for a 60-game season to start in late July.
Charlie Blackmon hit .314 with 32 home runs and 86 RBI last season for the Colorado Rockies.
The three Rockies join a growing list of at least 15 major-league players and staff members who have tested positive for COVID-19. On Friday, MLB decided to immediately shut down all spring training facilities in Arizona and Florida.
