MLB: Former All-Star Jim Edmonds Hospitalized, Being Tested For Coronavirus

Former St. Louis Cardinals All-Star outfielder Jim Edmonds was hospitalized with coronavirus symptoms and was tested for the virus.

He took to Instagram on Saturday and wrote “Held off as long as I could. I thought I was tough enough to get through. This virus is no joke. #gethealthy.”

Edmonds was released from the hospital and posted an update from his home, saying that he is still awaiting his coronavirus test results but that he did test positive for pneumonia, which he said he had never had before.
