MSU Announces First Round of Fall Athletic Events

SPRINGFIELD – There will be games this fall! Even with limited scheduling options and travel restrictions, Missouri State’s fall sports programs are beginning to fill in some non-conference competition dates for the coming weeks.

All of Missouri State’s fall sports programs have pushed their conference competitions and championships to the spring as a result of recent Missouri Valley Conference and NCAA actions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the following events (including the three previously-announced football games) have now been confirmed as regular-season competitions: (Home events in bold)

 

  • Football
    • Sept. 12 – at Oklahoma (6 p.m.)
    • Sept. 26 – at Central Arkansas (7 p.m.)
    • Oct. 17 – Central Arkansas (7 p.m.)
  • Volleyball
    • Sept. 20 – at Little Rock (1 p.m.)
    • Sept. 25 – vs. Stephen F. Austin (at Conway, Ark.) (12 p.m.)
    • Sept. 26 – at Central Arkansas (12 p.m.)
    • Oct. 3 – Central Arkansas (TBD)
  • Women’s Soccer
    • Sept. 13 – Little Rock (1 p.m.)
    • Oct. 15 – at Central Arkansas (6 p.m.)
    • Oct. 22 – Central Arkansas (6 p.m.)
  • Men’s Soccer
    • No scheduled regular-season games
  • Cross Country
    • Oct. 17 – at Little Rock
  • Women’s Tennis
    • Sept. 18-20 – at UCA Invitational
    • Oct. 9-10 – at ULM Fall Invitational
    • Oct. 16-17 – at UCA Fall Invitational
    • Oct. 23-25 – at ITA Regionals (at Fayetteville, Ark.)
  • Men’s Golf
    • Sept.  26-29 – Zach Johnson Invitational (Drake), Glen Oaks Country Club
    • Oct. 10-13 – Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate (Arkansas State), RidgePointe Country Club
    • Oct.  17-20 – Little Rock Invitational (Little Rock), Chenal Country Club – Bear Den
  • Women’s Golf
    • Oct. 12-13 – Red Wolves Classic (Arkansas State), Sage Meadows Country Club
    • Oct. 19-20 – MSU Stewart Memorial, at Twin Oaks
    • Oct. 25-27 – Little Rock Classic, Diamante Country Club, Hot Springs
  • Men’s & Women’s Basketball
    • Oct. 17- Sneak Preview Event (at Hammons Student Center (12 p.m.)

 

The above schedule does not include closed exhibition contests. For all home events this fall, except the Oct. 17 football game against UCA, no admission will be charged. Home events will allow spectators up to 35 percent of venue capacity. Single-game football ticket information will be released later this month.
