Liberty battled the Lions from Bakersfield Saturday evening for the 3rd place trophy in the Battle of the Border Tournament in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.
Liberty started out slow but caught fire late in the first quarter as it ended 14-13 after trailing early.

After that first quarter however Liberty wouldn’t look back, they had four players in double figures. Daniels with 20, Stretch with 14, Acklin with 11 and Lee with 10. Bakersfield only had one player in double figures but he led all scorers with 24 points.
The Eagles had 18 turnovers while the Lions had 23 in the game.
Liberty takes 3rd place in the tournament and their next game will be Tuesday night.
