NASCAR Legend Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s Widow Plans To Sell Off His Farmland Property

NASCAR fans are livid over Dale Earnhardt Sr.’s widow and her plan to sell off the racing legend’s farmland property.

Teresa Earnhardt is planning to sell 399 acres of beautiful southern farmland in Mooresville, North Carolina, which is nearby to his former racing headquarters, and transform it into a hideous industrial park.  Several NASCAR fans on Twitter were fired up over Teresa’s move to make a quick buck, with one fan speculating that she might be “running out of Dales [sic] money.”

NASCAR fans haven’t been particularly happy with Teresa, dubbed the “Wicked Witch of the South,” since Dale Sr. passed away in a crash at the 2001 Daytona 500. After Teresa took over her late husband’s race team, Dale Earnhardt Inc., she refused to give Dale Jr. an ownership stake. Dale Jr. went on to race for Hendrick Motorsports. However, Teresa refused to let him use his famous #8, so he was forced to go with #88 instead.

Most recently, Carowinds amusement park in Charlotte renamed their rollercoaster, “The Intimidator,” which featured Dale Sr.’s famous black #3 car, because a licensing agreement with Dale Earnhardt Inc. had not been renewed. NASCAR fans blamed her.
