About an hour after the Big Ten’s announcement, the Pac-12 called a news conference and said its fall sports season would be postponed until the spring as well.

According to a Pac-12 statement, the decision to postpone was made after consultation with athletics directors and with the Pac-12 COVID-19 Medical Advisory Committee.

The Pac-12 Commissioner said, “Our student-athletes, fans, staff and all those who love college sports would like to have seen the season played this calendar year as originally planned, and we know how disappointing this is.”
