The Mizzou Tigers have wrapped up their search for a new baseball coach. Former Memphis skipper Kerrick Jackson was announced as the Tigers next head coach Monday. Jackson spent only one year with Memphis, leading the Tigers to their first winning campaign since 2017 this past season. The St. Louis native was an assistant at Mizzou from 2011 through 2015. Jackson takes over for Steve Bieser, who was fired after the season.
Mizzou has not had a winning conference record since 2009, but they did win the Big 12 tournament in 2012 but have only finished third or better in conference play twice since 1997.
