NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has agreed to a new four-year contract extension. The deal will run through the 2030 season and expires on March 31st, 2031.
Financial terms haven’t been released yet but Goodell’s salary was $63.9 million for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 seasons. This is the fifth extension in his career since he took over as commissioner on September 1st, 2006.

NFL owners have seen the value of their teams skyrocket since he has taken over. The Minnesota Vikings were the last team to sell before he took over and were sold for $600,000. The Seattle Seahawks were sold this year for a record $9.612 billion.
Goodell will be 72 when his deal expires.
