(Pleasanton, CA) The man whose name is affixed to one of the most popular video games ever and is synonymous with the NFL, died yesterday.
John Madden died at his home in Pleasanton, California, at the age of 85. After his coaching career with the Oakland Raiders ended, he went on to phenomenal success as a color analyst on CBS alongside Pat Summerall. Any network that televised NFL games employed the popular Madden at some point.
Madden led the Raiders to a super bowl win in 1977.
