Kansas City Chiefs star Chris Jones has offered to pay $1.5 million in chicken wings to free an Illinois school worker from prison.
Jones does not appear to know Vera Lidell, who stole $1.5million in food from the Harvey School District in Dolton, Illinois.

Most of that $1.5million in stolen food was chicken wings, with an extra 11,000 cases of chicken wings were ordered by Lidell.
Lidell has been sentenced to nine years in prison and worked for the school district for over a decade prior to her arrest.
Jones wrote on X, ‘I’ll pay for the wings that she stole to get her free.’
Jones signed a 5-year, $158.75million extension with the Chiefs back in March, with $95million guaranteed.
