COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 24/25 University of Missouri softball (19-13, 0-5 SEC) will host South Carolina (18-14, 2-7 SEC) for a three-game set. Friday’s first pitch is set for 6:30 p.m. at Mizzou Softball Stadium. Friday and Saturday’s contests will stream on SECN+ with Ben Arnet and Katherine Kadlec on the call. On Sunday, Jenny Dalton-Hill and Pam Ward will team up for the SEC Network broadcast.
The Tigers will look to bounce back after falling on the road at Kansas on Wednesday night.
Kendyll Bailey has been productive at the plate for the Tigers, in addition to her consistent defense at second base. Bailey has reached base in each of the last eight games. She is batting .407 over the stretch with two doubles, three home runs and seven RBI. Her seven home runs match her career best from a year ago while she is one RBI shy of her 2021 total.
Reigning SEC Freshman of the Year Jenna Laird leads Mizzou with 36 hits on the year. She has stolen 16 bases on the year, already surpassing her 2021 total.
Kimberly Wert is one home run shy of breaking the all-time Mizzou record. Wert has crushed eight on the year and leads the team with 25 RBI. Hatti Moore and Brooke Wilmes each rank among the top ten home run hitters in Mizzou history.
