Padres 3, Cardinals 2

The Padres salvaged their series finale after taking down the Cardinals 3-2 at Petco Park. Joe Musgrove picked up his first win after striking out seven and allowing one run over six innings pitched. Robert Suarez was credited with his third save of the year after striking out two over an inning and two-thirds of scoreless relief. Kyle Higashioka went deep with a solo shot for his first long ball of the season. San Diego is now 4-and-5. Zack Thompson was charged with the loss after allowing three runs on five hits over five innings of work. Nolan Arenado went one for four with an RBI single in the top of the fourth. St. Louis is now 3-and-4.
