The Cardinals saw a late lead disappear Sunday as the Padres rallied for a 3-2 win in 10 innings. Jordan Walker gave St. Louis the lead with a two-run homer in the fourth, and Kyle Leahy turned in five shutout innings while allowing just two hits. Riley O’Brien retired the first two hitters in the ninth and jumped ahead of Nick Castellanos 0-2 before Castellanos battled back and hit a game-tying two-run homer to left on the ninth pitch of the at-bat. Manny Machado later drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 10th as San Diego earned a split of the four-game series.
