The Royals lost their fourth game in-a-row. Kansas City was shutout 4-0 on the road by the San Diego Padres at Petco Park. Brad Keller was charged with the loss after allowing three runs, two earned, in three-and-two-thirds innings of action. The Royals managed just two hits in their fourth straight loss. Kansas City is in last-place of the AL Central at 12-and-31. Right-hander Brady Singer is slated for the start against San Diego tonight.
