Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and fiancé Brittany Matthews announced they are expecting their first child, less than a month after getting engaged.
Matthews captioned her Instagram post, “Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding,” which featured the couple holding a sonogram photo.

Earlier this month, Mahomes proposed to Matthews, a personal trainer, at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, the same day the Chiefs received their 2020 Super Bowl rings.
The quarterback also inked the largest contract in sports history this summer (a 10-year, $503 million extension).
Mahomes and Matthews have been dating for over eight years.
