Pirates Plundered; Zizzers lose 35 to 26.

The game started with Hannibal having control of the ball. Lots of major plays and excellent actions from the players set the tone for the game. Both teams traded the ball, unwilling to let the other get a foothold. The Zizzers took advantage of a second turnover, and managed to push, push, push their way to their first touchdown with 3 minutes left in the first quarter. The Pirates returned this score shortly after, tying the game again. The first quarter ended with both teams tied at 7 to 7. Q2 started with explosive movement, and the Zizzers striking back and breaking the tie with a score of 14 to 7. The Pirates refused to let the Zizzers maintain a lead and score again, tying the game. The trades to and fro continued, with the Zizzers scoring again almost immediately after. Unfortunately, they missed their follow-up kick, but this brought the score to 20-14. This would cost them, because when the Pirates scored their next TD, they followed through on their kick, giving them their first lead with Zizzers: 20, Pirates: 21. Both teams held even until the end of Q2.

The third quarter continued with both teams holding fast to their guns and refusing to give any ground. The Pirates got control of the ball, and while the Zizzers did an excellent job defensively, the Pirates star player Williams managed to score, making the Pirates pull away from the Zizzers 28 to 20. The Zizzers couldn’t let themselves fall behind, however, and worked hard to score and catch up. Q3 ended with Zizzers trailing 26 to 28. The 4th quarter started unkind to the Zizzers. Unable to score, the Zizzers lost the ball, leading to the Pirates scoring again. There were no more scores until end of game, meaning that this game ends with the Zizzers losing, 35 to 26.
