Rangers 11, Royals 2

The Texas Rangers exploded for a seven-run sixth inning and cruised to an 11-2 victory over the Kansas City Royals at Globe Life Field. Adolis Garcia hit a grand slam in the sixth to propel the big inning. Jonah Heim and Corey Seager also homered for the Rangers. Texas starter Andrew Heaney totaled 10 strikeouts in five scoreless innings of action to improve to 1-and-1 on the mound. Heaney tied the AL record with nine consecutive strikeouts as the Rangers improved to 6-and-4. Kansas City’s Hunter Dozier hit his first home run of the season in the losing effort. Zack Greinke was charged with the loss after letting up three earned runs over five innings. The Royals slip to 3-and-8.
