The Royals failed to put an end to their losing skid. Kansas City dropped its fifth straight game with a 12-2 loss to the visiting Texas Rangers at Kauffman Stadium. Kyle Isbel and MJ Melendez notched an RBI in the loss. Brad Keller was charged the loss after allowing three earned runs across four frames. The Royals have lost five straight to slip to 4-and-14. Right-hander Brady Singer will start on the mound for the Royals in the series finale against Texas this afternoon.
