The Rangers won the rubber game against the Royals with a 3-2 victory in 10 innings at Kauffman Stadium. Jon Gray got the start and struck out seven while allowing two runs over seven innings. Kirby Yates was credited with his third win of the season after striking out two over a couple of scoreless innings of relief. Nathaniel Lowe [[ low ]] drove in the go-ahead run with a single in the top of the 10th. Daniel Lynch made his first start for the Royals throwing five scoreless innings. James McArthur suffered the loss after allowing two runs, one of them earned, over two innings of relief. Vinnie Pasquantino drove in both of the Royals’ runs. Kansas City dropped to 20-and-15.
