The Royals kept their winning streak alive with another win over the Tigers. Kansas City recorded its fifth straight win in a 10-3 takedown of Detroit in the second outing of a three-game set at Kauffman Stadium. Bobby Witt Jr. was dominant at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two home runs, six RBIs and three runs scored. Maikel Garcia finished the day 4-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored, while Hunter Renfroe hit his fourth homer of the year. Alec Marsh improved to 4-and-1 after tossing five strikeouts and allowing three runs through six frames. The Royals are second in the AL Central at 31-and-19. They host the Tigers again this afternoon. Left-hander Cole Ragans will start opposite Detroit southpaw Tarik Skubal.
