The Royals capped off their regular season with a win over the playoff-hopeful Braves in Atlanta. Kansas City defeated Atlanta 4-2 to cap off a three-game set at Truist Park. Michael Massey hit his 13th home run of the season on a three-run blast in the first inning. Hunter Renfroe also went deep for the 15th time this year. Alec Marsh earned the win, while Kris Bubic earned his first save. The Royals are 86-and-76 heading into their AL Wild Card series against the Baltimore Orioles.
The first game from Camden Yards will be Tuesday with a first pitch set for 3:08 CT on ESPN 2.
This is a rematch of the 2014 ALCS when the Royals defeated the Orioles. Cole Ragans will start and face Balimore’s Corbin Burnes.
