COLUMBIA, Mo. — The University of Missouri Women’s Basketball 2022-23 Southeastern Conference opponents have been announced, as publicized by the league office on Wednesday.
Missouri will play a 16-game conference slate with the Tigers welcoming Florida, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Alabama and Kentucky to Mizzou Arena during the upcoming campaign.
On the road, Missouri will face Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Alabama, Kentucky and last year’s national champion South Carolina.
In total, the schedule consists of a single round robin (10 games) of home and away with one permanent opponent (two games) and two rotating opponents (four games). In addition to its home-and-home rival Arkansas, Missouri will play rotating home-and-home contests against Alabama and Kentucky.
The upcoming season marks the 14th year of the 16-game schedule for women’s basketball and the 11th with 14 teams.
The 2023 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament will be held March 1-5 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C.
Missouri returns 10 players from a season ago in addition to three newcomers. In-state freshmen Averi Kroenke and Ashton Judd will join Robin Pingeton‘s squad as well as Katlyn Gilbert, a graduate transfer from Notre Dame.
Senior Haley Frank headlines the returnees after averaging 15.0 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists last year. The Strafford, Mo. native, led the conference in 3-point shooting at 46.2% in 2021-22.
