The 2020 Belmont Stakes was postponed by two-weeks from Saturday, June 6th to Saturday, June 20th due to the coronavirus outbreak.
This year’s edition of the race at Belmont Park in New York will be 1 1/8-miles instead of its traditional 1 1/2-miles. There will be no spectators for the race.
The Belmont is now the first race in the Triple Crown this year instead of last which it usually is… after the Kentucky Derby and Preakness were postponed months due to the outbreak.
