ATHENS, Ga. – University of Missouri softball concluded its season at the 2025 SEC Tournament as the No. 14 seed Tigers dropped their first-round matchup against No. 11 seed (18/21 ranked) Ole Miss (36-16), 1-0 at Jack Turner Stadium.
With the loss, Mizzou finishes the campaign with a 25-31 mark.
Claire Cahalan (stolen base), Julia Crenshaw, and Kara Daly (1-for-2 with a walk) all notched a hit in Tuesday’s SEC Tournament opener.
An RBI double in the first inning from Persy Llamas gave the Rebels all the offense they needed to win the game.
Marissa McCann was presented the loss (10-12) for the Tigers, giving up one earned run on five hits over five innings of work. McCann also added three strikeouts Tuesday.
Taylor Pannell came on in relief, pitching a scoreless sixth inning with no hits given up.
For seniors Taylor Ebbs, Crenshaw, Daly, Mya Dodge and Jayci Kruse, Tuesday marked the final game of their careers at Mizzou. Crenshaw, Daly and Kruse all competed four seasons at MU.
Dodge drew a pinch-hit walk to put a pair of Tigers on in the seventh, but the late rally was stymied.
Kruse was named to the 2025 SEC Softball Community Service Team ahead of Tuesday’s game.
