COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri softball (8-8) travels to Wichita, Kansas, this week to compete in the Shocker Invitational. The tournament will take place Thursday through Sunday at Wilkins Stadium.
The Tigers will begin their run in the tournament on Friday where they will take on No. 15/16 Oklahoma State (8-4) at 3 p.m., CT and then Wichita State (9-5) at 5:30 p.m., CT.
On Saturday, Missouri will face South Dakota State (5-6) at 10 a.m., CT and No. 16/18 Nebraska (12-4) at noon.
Mizzou will then finish off its time in Wichita by competing against Nebraska (12-4) again at noon on Sunday.
Due to other home events on the campus of Wichita State, there will be no televised or streamed games over the Shocker Invitational. Fans can follow live statistics or live updates @MizzouSoftball (X, Instagram, Facebook).
Mizzou is receiving votes in both the ESPN.com/USA Softball and the NFCA/GoRout Coaches Polls.
MU opened its 2025 campaign as the only NCAA Division I institution that competed in the NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic, Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational Presented by EvoShield and Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
The Shocker Invite marks the fourth of five non-conference tournaments for Missouri this season. Following SEC Opening Weekend (March 7-9 at Kentucky), MU will return to Columbia to host the Mizzou Invitational March 13-15. All-Tournament passes are currently on sale for $20 while day passes are also available for purchase online.

SERIES HISTORY
- Oklahoma State leads the all-time series with Missouri, 59-44.
- The two teams last met in Stillwater, Oklahoma, with then No. 3 OSU picking up a 6-3 win to conclude the opening day of the 2023 Oklahoma State/Tulsa Invitational on March 3.
- Head coach Larissa Anderson is 1-1 all-time against the Cowgirls.
- Mizzou leads the all-time series with Wichita State, 26-2.
- MU beat Wichita State twice in 2024 at the Big Red Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska. Anderson is 7-0 all-time against the Shockers.
- The Tigers run-ruled Wichita State, 13-3 (five innings) on March 2 before an 8-2 win on March 3.

MARY NUTTER COLLEGIATE CLASSIC RECAP
- Missouri went 2-3 at the 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic.
- MU picked up a 1-0 victory over Rutgers to commence the tournament.
- In her first career collegiate start, NCAA active career saves leader and Missouri closer Taylor Pannell picked up her first career complete-game shutout as the Tigers opened their stay at the 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic with a win over Rutgers. The junior from Lee’s Summit, Missouri, pitched a career-best seven innings with seven strikeouts while only allowing four hits. With the win, Pannell improved to 2-2 in 2025.
- Missouri also notched an 8-3 victory over Baylor.
- Stefania Abruscato tallied a career-best matching three hits (3-for-4) and three RBI. It marked her first three hit, three RBI game of the season and second of her collegiate career.
- Cierra Harrison threw a complete game (her second of the season) with a season-best seven strikeouts. She let up just three earned runs on four hits. Harrison also surpassed 200 career innings pitched and registered her 25th career victory.
- Julia Crenshaw hit .313 over the tournament while Haidyn Sokoloski paced the Tigers with a .500 mark over her first four career starts at Missouri.
- Saniya Hill also made her first four career starts, appearing in all five games at the Classic, hitting .333. She registered a pinch-hit RBI double in the win over Rutgers. Hill has reached base safely in seven-straight games.
- Claire Cahalan notched a career-best matching (third time in her career) two hits (2-for-3) against No. 4 UCLA.
- Madison Walker connected on her fifth home run of the season (career best, had one in 2024) against Baylor.
- Kara Daly blasted her third homer of the season to get the Tigers on the scoreboard against Oregon. The senior from Jefferson City, Missouri, finished 1-for-3 with a walk and a season-best three RBI. She has drawn a walk in four of the last five games and is on a three-game reached base streak.
HAIDYN SOKOLOSKI
- Outfielder Haidyn Sokoloski led Missouri over the 2025 Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, batting .500 with a double, RBI, two walks and a .600 slugging percentage and .583 on-base percentage.
- Sokoloski notched a walk in her first career start (left field) at Missouri against No. 4 UCLA.
- She then secured her first hit in a Missouri uniform during the top half of the second inning against Baylor. She also recorded her first RBI as a Tiger in the seventh, giving Missouri an 8-3 advantage.
- Sokoloski then paced MU with a career-best 3-for-3 with a double and a stolen base against Minnesota. She notched five hits (5-for-7) over Friday’s pair of games.
- Sokoloski has reached base safely in five-straight games and made her first four career starts at Missouri over the weekend in Cathedral City, California.
- The Oklahoma State transfer from Flower Mound, Texas, will face her former team in Missouri’s Shocker Invitational opener on Friday.
OUR LEADOFF HITTER
- Starting catcher and leadoff hitter Julia Crenshaw has set the tone for the Missouri batting order. The senior from O’Fallon, Missouri, is hitting .360 with 15 runs, four doubles, three homers and nine RBI.
- Crenshaw paces the Tigers with six multi-RBI games and has reached base in each of the last five games.
- Crenshaw hit a leadoff homer to get the Baylor game underway. It marked her second leadoff home run of the season, as she previously posted the feat against Florida State on Feb. 13. She also had a season-best two RBI versus Baylor.
- She tallied a hit in every game of the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic except Oregon including a season-best two hits (sixth time in 2025) against Minnesota.
- Crenshaw knocked a double in the sixth against Rutgers for her 100th career hit.
TAYLOR PANNELL

- Abby Hay ranks 10th in the SEC with 0.93 walks per game.
- Taylor Ebbs is three hits and nine RBI away from 100 in both career categories, respectively.
- Marissa McCann is sixth in the SEC with three complete games. She is also fifth in the league with 40.2 innings pitched.
- McCann (2.93 ERA) and Cierra Harrison both lead MU with three wins each in 2025.
- Harrison has thrown 186 career strikeouts.
- Head coach Larissa Anderson picked up her 350th career win with a 10-3 victory over Duke on Feb. 8. Anderson was also inducted into the Gannon University (Erie, Pennsylvania) Athletics Hall of Fame that same day.
- Anderson signed an extension with Mizzou through 2028 over the fall.
- Mizzou is coming off an impressive 2024 that saw the Tigers earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the 17th consecutive year (27 total regional appearances). MU made its 10th Supers appearance in program history in 2024.
- The Tigers totaled 48 wins (48-14, 13-11 SEC) in 2024, their highest total in the program’s SEC era and fourth most in program history. Missouri’s 13 SEC wins in the 2024 campaign are the most since 15 in 2021.
- The Tigers return six starters from the 2024 NCAA Super Regional team including SEC All-Defensive right fielder Kayley Lenger, NFCA All-Region first baseman Abby Hay along with catcher Julia Crenshaw and third baseman Kara Daly.
- Mizzou added 10 newcomers including seven freshmen and three transfers for the 2025 season.
- Missouri returned the 11th best team ERA (2.03) in 2024 led by starters Cierra Harrison and Marissa McCann along with NCAA saves leader Taylor Pannell.
- Missouri ranked fourth in the NCAA in 2024 with an average attendance of 2,784. In the postseason, MU had the highest home attendance of Regionals (10,016) and Super Regionals (11,608, MU record). Mizzou set single-game (4,021, vs. Duke, May 26, 2024) and single-series attendance records over the postseason weekends.
