Area youngsters entering grades two through eight are invited to participate in the Grizzly Basketball Camp July 6-8 at the West Plains Civic Center. The camp is being hosted by Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) Grizzly Basketball Head Coach Jared Phay, Assistant Coach Jason Owens and members of the Grizzly Basketball team. Participants will learn basketball fundamentals for all aspects of the game during the three-day event.
Campers have the option of attending one of three sessions:
- the morning session from 9 a.m. to noon
- the afternoon session from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
- the all-day session from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All sessions will be divided into groups based on the participants’ skill levels; camps are open to all youths of every ability. Each camper will receive a free T-shirt.
The cost of attending the morning or afternoon sessions is $100 per camper if registration occurs prior to July 1. Participants who attend the all-day camp will be charged a $175 fee prior to July 1.
