FORMER GRIZZLY VOLLEYBALL standout Mafo Joelle (2005-2006) will be inducted into the Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly Athletics Hall of Fame Saturday, Jan. 22, at the West Plains Civic Center. The ceremony will take place during halftime activities of the Grizzly Basketball game against Moberly Area Community College. A reception for Joelle will take place following the game. The latest Mo. State HS basketball rankings are out and local teams that made the list are, on the Girls side in class one, South Iron falls to #3 in class two Ellington stays on top at #1 in class three Strafford is #1 and Licking is #4 in class four Ava is #8 and class five West Plains comes up one to #2. On the boys side of local teams in the state rankings class one South Iron is #1 and Bunker is #8 in class two Norwood fell down to #2 and Alton is #9 class 3 Thayer is still on top at #1 and Hartville is # 8 class four Ava is #4 congratulations to all the teams making the state rankings this week.

 

HS Girls basketball for tonight Conway at Ava. Gainesville at MG. Hollister at Mansfield. Also getting underway tonight is the Thayer Lady Bobcat Tournament.

 

A Big Ten quarterback announced on Wednesday that he will continue his football career at Missouri State. Jacob Clark, who has served as a Minnesota backup quarterback tweeted that he is eager to start his journey as a Bear. The former Texas prospect signed with Minnesota over  California, Iowa, Purdue, Syracuse, TCU, Vanderbilt and Washington State out of high school.

The MSU West Plains Grizzlies will head to Popular Bluff tonight for a region 16 match up with Three Rivers, the game had be scheduled to be played this past Saturday night but due to weather the game was moved to tonight tip off at 7pm catch all the action on kdy 102.5.

KC got the win over the Stealers 42-21 KC will host the Bills in the next round of the playoff’s.
