The West Plains Lady Zizzers used the cushion of an early 11-0 run to take the Nixa Invitational Tournament title with a 59-47 victory over tournament host, Nixa, Saturday afternoon. Judd, who finished with a game-high 23 points and 19 rebounds the Lady Zizzers, improved to 14-2 on the season.
The Missouri State Men beat No. 22 Loyola-Chicago 79-69 on Saturday to pick up the program’s first win over an AP Top 25 team since beating Creighton 77-65 on Dec. 28. 2011. Isiaih Mosley continued his dominant run taking over the game with 40 points. This is only the second road win over an AP Top 25 team in program history. The loss is Loyola’s first conference loss of the season dropping the Ramblers to 5-1 in conference while Missouri State improves to 6-2.
