Due to the impact of the COVID-19 virus and the changes and cancellations caused to championship events, the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) has extended multiple post-season host venue agreements. The following is the list of championships and the accompanying extensions: Fall Softball – 1-year extension to Springfield. Football – 1-year extension to Columbia. Track & Field – 2-year extension to Jefferson City. Wrestling – 1-year extension to Columbia. Basketball – 1-year extension to Springfield. Spring Softball – 1-year extension to Springfield. Baseball – 1-year extension to Springfield. The MSHSAA Board of Directors unanimously approved these extensions at its April Board Meeting.

 

Missouri State has announced a fan watch party this Saturday to show the Bears football NCAA playoff game at North Dakota on the big screen at JQH Arena. Doors at JQH Arena will open at 2:30 p.m., prior to the game’s opening kickoff at 3 p.m. The watch party is free, and fans will be expected to wear masks and social distance. No ticket is required for entry. Limited concessions will be available for purchase, and basic facility amenities, such as restrooms, will be open.The Bears are the co-champions of the Missouri Valley Football Conference and put a four-game winning streak and No. 12 national ranking on the line against the Fighting Hawks of North Dakota who are ranked No. 7 nationally. The game at the Alrerus Center in Grand Forks, N.D., will air on ESPN3, in addition to the Bears Radio Network.
