State High school girls’ softball playoffs get underway Today, in Class 1 Plato will host Valle Catholic at 5pm in the first round of the class 1 softball playoffs. In class 2 the Houston Lady Tigers will host the Central Park Hills Lady Rebels today at 5pm in the first round of the state softball playoffs.

Liberty and Willow Springs boys golf teams are competing in the state golf meet at Columbia Country Club in class 2 today. The Course is a par 71.

 

In district baseball in class 1 district 4 championship game, it will be Norwood vs Greenwood Tuesday at 6pm at Dora winner advances to the state tournament. Class 5 district 6 baseball West Plains will play Marshfield at 3pm Today in Branson.

For the second consecutive season and the 12th time overall, University of Missouri softball (36-20) will play host to an NCAA Regional in Columbia. After making a run to the championship game of the 2022 SEC Tournament, the Tigers were given the No. 15 overall seed. Joining the Tigers in the Columbia Regional field is Illinois, Arizona and Missouri State. Mizzou will open play on Friday, at 1 p.m. at Mizzou Softball Stadium against in-state foe Missouri State, before Illinois and Arizona face off. The Tigers’ opening game will air on SEC Network.
