The scheduled game between Glendale and West Plains on Friday night has been canceled do to COVID 19 protocols this according to Springfield Public Schools. With this being considered a cancellation it will not be considered a forfeit at this time.
According to Salem High Athletic Director Phil Karr the Tigers will be canceling their first two varsity games of the season due to their current 14-day quarantine Salem will not be able to get the mandatory 14 days of preseason practices in knocking out the season-opener at St. James Aug. 27. The first game that the Tiger varsity squad will play is its SCA opener at Houston Sept. 10. And 12 of 18 Salem Lady Tiger softball players are now quarantined.

The Ava Bears have several players returning to play Ava Bear football we talked with Dan Swofford about some other players that will be stepping up to play varsity football in 2021 for the Ava Bears.
