WEST PLAINS, Mo. — West Plains Zizzer swimmers who are advancing to the MSHSAA Class 1 State Swim & Dive Championship meet on November 14-15 include Dakota Sparks, Nate Bramwell, Kyle Jolliff, Jake Bramwell, and Jaxson Wood.
Sparks is seeded 26th in the state in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:52.97 earned at SWMO Finals and is seeded 27th in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:10.37 earned at SWMO Prelims.
N. Bramwell is seeded 15th in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.94 earned at SWMO Finals.
Jolliff is seeded 30th in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.54 earned at the Last Chance meet on Nov 5.
J. Bramwell is seeded 32nd in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.43 earned at SWMO Finals.
The 200-yard Medley Relay team of J Bramwell (backstroke), Jolliff (breaststroke), N. Bramwell (butterfly), and Jaxson Wood (freestyle) is seeded 16th.
The 200-yard Free Relay team of J. Bramwell, Jolliff, Wood, and Sparks is seeded 18th.
The 400-yard Free Relay team of N. Bramwell, Wood, J. Bramwell, and Sparks is seeded 16th.
Alternates rounding out the state team include: Isaac Kammerer, Jake Newberry, Matthew Mayberry, and Ethan Squires.
Head Coach Ryan Smith said, “I am very excited to see the hard work these young men have put in this year paying off! Eight total events (5 individual and 3 relays) is a phenomenal accomplishment for the West Plains Zizzers Swim Team.”
The State Meet is held at the St. Peters-Rec Plex in St. Peters, Missouri. Class 1 Swimming preliminaries begin at 12:30 pm on Thursday, November 14. The top 16 will advance to finals at 10 am on Friday, November 15.
