STATEMENT REGARDING THE CDC’S & CITY OF ST. LOUIS’ UPDATED COVID GUIDELINES

  1. LOUIS, Mo., May 14, 2021 – The St. Louis Cardinals would like to thank the City of St. Louis, the Mayor’s Office, Acting Health Director Dr. Fredrick Echols, and the City Health Department for their cooperation and guidance in helping our organization safely re-open to fans over the last several weeks and throughout the pandemic.  Our recent partnership efforts to establish a vaccine clinic at Busch Stadium resulted in the vaccination of hundreds of individuals and we will continue to work with both the City and St. Louis County to encourage more people to get vaccinated.

Our organization has, and will continue, to follow and monitor CDC guidelines as it relates to the health and safety of our fans, employees and players.  To that extent, fully vaccinated fans attending games at Busch Stadium will no longer be required to wear masks inside the ballpark.  Fans that are not yet fully vaccinated are strongly encouraged to wear masks at all times inside the stadium, including the seating bowl, unless actively eating or drinking.  We hope these relaxed policies will inspire those who have not received their vaccine to step up to the plate and do their part.

For the upcoming homestand at Busch Stadium beginning Tuesday, May 18, guests will continue to be seated in pods of four or less approximately three feet apart.  Additional tickets to the May 18-19 series vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates will be made available immediately, bringing capacity to approximately 30,000.  That will also be the capacity for the May 21-23 series vs. the Chicago Cubs, as well as the June 3-9 series vs. Cincinnati and Cleveland.
