The St. Louis Cardinals today announced details surrounding the 2026 Cardinals Hall of Fame Weekend presented by Edward Jones on September 11-13. The weekend will be highlighted by the 12th annual Cardinals Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony of Yadier Molina, Albert Pujols and the late Bill Sherdel, scheduled for 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, inside Busch Stadium as part of a special on-field pregame ceremony before the Cardinals-White Sox game.
Over a dozen Cardinals Hall of Famers are scheduled to take part in the Induction Ceremony including Ozzie Smith, Tony La Russa, Ted Simmons, Scott Rolen, Jim Edmonds, Chris Carpenter, Mark McGwire, Ray Lankford, Jason Isringhausen, John Tudor, José Oquendo, Matt Morris, Édgar Rentería, and Al Hrabosky.
A game ticket is required to attend the Hall of Fame Induction ceremony inside Busch Stadium. Busch Stadium gates will open one hour earlier at 3:15 PM to ensure fans are in their seats for the ceremony beginning at 5:00 PM. That day’s contest will be a free game on Cardinals.TV presented by bet365, so any fan with a MLB.com account can login and watch for free (no subscription required). Cardinals.TV will televise the full pregame ceremony as part of the broadcast.
The Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum will feature a variety of programming on Friday, Sept. 11, and Saturday, Sept. 12, including a special Flashback Friday conversation with Pujols and Molina hosted by Tom Ackerman in the Together Credit Union Plaza on Friday evening beginning at 6:00 PM, followed by the Maryville University Cardinals Hall of Fame Walk Plaque Presentation with the new inductees at 6:25 PM.
That same weekend, the Cardinals will host a 20-year anniversary reunion of the 2006 World Series championship team on Friday, September 11, presented by Heartland Coca-Cola.
Over 30 former players and coaches from the 2006 team, including National Baseball Hall of Famers Tony La Russa & Scott Rolen; Cardinals Hall of Famers Chris Carpenter, Jim Edmonds, Jason Isringhausen, Yadier Molina, José Oquendo, & Albert Pujols; World Series MVP David Eckstein, NLCS MVP Jeff Suppan, and more are scheduled to take part in a pregame Ford Truck motorcade around the warning track beginning at 6:35 PM before that evening’s 7:15 PM game.
In addition to those events, the organization will celebrate Cardinals Hall of Fame Weekend with gate giveaways on all three dates, Cardinals Conversations with David Eckstein, Jeff Suppan, Scott Spiezio & Brad Thompson presented by Edward Jones inside the ballpark on Friday at 4:00 PM (ticket required), and Saturday Signings with So Taguchi presented by Goodwill at the Cardinals Museum on Saturday from 11 AM-1 PM.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that the team has promoted three players, and that catcher Jimmy Crooks was optioned to Memphis (AAA) following Sunday’s (Aug. 30) game, as Major League Baseball allows active rosters to expand to 28 players today.
Joining the Cardinals active roster for tonight’s series opener in Los Angeles are rookie catcher Leonardo (Leo) Bernal, rookie right-handed pitcher Hancel Rincón and outfielder Victor Scott II. Bernal and Rincón will be making their Major League debut with their first appearance. Scott II made his big league debut at Dodger Stadium in March of 2024.
Bernal (pronounced LAY-oh bur-NAHL), one of the top defensively acclaimed catchers in MiLB, was signed by the Cardinals as an international free agent in January of 2021. The 22-year-old native of Panama City, Panama was slashing .278/.363/.468 with an .831 OPS, 16 HR and 77 RBI (7th in International League) in his first season at the Triple-A level. The 2025 Rawlings Minor League Gold Glove recipient is currently rated as the Cardinals 5th best prospect by Baseball America.
The 6-0, 260-pound switch-hitting Bernal will wear uniform no. 13.
Rincón, 24, a member of the Cardinals organization since 2019, was signed by the Cardinals as an international free agent in January of 2019 at age 16 out of San Pedro de Macoris, DR. The 6-2, 185-pound Rincón (pronounced hahn-sell rin-CONE) has gone 6-6 with a 4.04 ERA this season at Memphis, striking out 88 over 71.1 IP (41 games) primarily as a reliever. Rincón has fashioned a 2.76 ERA & 0.92 WHIP since July 1.
Rincón will wear uniform no. 66.
Scott II, who was on the Cardinals Opening Day roster, appeared in 61 games with St. Louis this season, collecting 9 stolen bases, before being optioned to Memphis (AAA) on June 8. In 57 games at Memphis, Scott II was successful on 23 of 25 stolen base attempts while slashing .237/.320/.342. The left-handed hitting Scott II has 209 career stolen bases as a professional, including 48 with St. Louis. He wears uniform no. 11.
Bernal and Rincón will be joining a group of 10 rookies who had previously debuted for St. Louis this season when they see their first game action.
