Tough night for Team USA. Belgium knocked the Americans out of the World Cup with a 4-1 win in Seattle, ending hopes of a deep run on home soil. Charles De Ketelaere had himself a game, scoring twice and setting up another goal, while American defenders struggled all night.
Malik Tillman briefly tied things up with a free kick goal, but the U.S. gave the lead right back just over a minute later. Coach Mauricio Pochettino’s frustration boiled over on the sideline, even kicking over a water bottle rack.
Belgium now moves on to face Spain in the quarterfinals this Friday in Inglewood, California.
