The Eagles visited the Salem Tigers tonight and showed them what they were made of. It was close throughout the first quarter. Liberty was able to pull the lead by 1, 18-17. A back and forth game continues in the second with 4:00 minutes left, so Salem called a timeout to try and figure out this Liberty team leading 25-24. Salem called a second time out in the second quarter as Liberty ran on a 11-2 run, 36-26. At the end of the half Liberty lead 39-28. Liberty came out in the third and stayed in good scoring shape, so Salem called a timeout with Liberty leading with 3:45 left, 50-41. By the end of the 3rd, Salem started chipping off that lead Liberty had, 58-51. The 4th quarter was hard on Salem, they could not make on the lead the Eagles had, ending the game with an Eagles win 81-59. Gary Lee with more:
