On Wednesday afternoon the 10th seeded MSU West Plains Grizzlies Volleyball team faced the seventh seed Odessa College and won in straight sets 25-13, 25-15, 25-19 to advance to round two of the NJCAA Division 1 National Championship tournament. Gibby Beckler lead the Grizzlies with 13 kills and Bianca Salvador added 11 kills in the round one win. The Grizzlies will face the 2nd seeded Miami Dade College Thursday at 5:00 p.m. Miami Dade has finished runner up in each of the last two seasons.

Mizzou Women’s Basketball team get a win over St. Louis U 112-59 last night. Ashton Judd scored 10 points and snagged 2 rebounds and lead the tigers with 5 assists. They will next face Little Rock Friday.

The West Plains Zizzers will face the Warrenton Warriors at 1:00 at Zizzer Stadium in the State Quarterfinals. The West Plains Zizzer Quarterback Club is offering FREE admission and giveaway opportunities for students for the game. The Cy Young awards were presented last night. Chris Sale of the Braves was the National League winner, Tarik Skubal of the Tigers was the American League winner.
