Columbia, Mo. – University of Missouri football is partnering with Monarc to bring The Seeker, its IoT-enabled robotic quarterback, to Columbia. Monarc is a Dallas-based company that provides sports practice automation solutions.
“Mizzou football is grateful for the collaboration with Monarc,” head coach Eliah Drinkwitz said. “The Seeker adds instant impact to our daily preparation with its durability and mobility. We’re excited to put this exciting technology to work.”
The Seeker enables student-athletes to practice a variety of game-like scenarios – receiving passes, punts and kicks across the entire field autonomously. The functionality is enhanced through the Pulse tracking device, which enables players to be tracked while engaging in routes and drills. Additionally, the Pulse allows coaches to control and initiate plays remotely from anywhere on the field.
The Seeker has a user-friendly touchscreen interface along with a six-ball magazine that allows you to throw, punt or kick up to six balls in twelve seconds with pinpoint accuracy, eliminating wasted reps while drastically increasing practice efficiency.
