The Royals were blown out by an AL Central rival on the road. Kansas City fell to the Minnesota Twins 13-3 at Target Field. MJ Melendez and Salvador Perez each hit a solo home run in the setback. Starting pitcher Seth Lugo was charged with the loss and dropped to 13-and-7 after allowing eight runs through four frames. The Royals have lost three of four and sit third in the division at 65-and-55. They visit the Twins again this afternoon. Left-hander Cole Ragans will start opposite Minnesota righty Louie Varland.
