Twins 4, Royals 2

The Minnesota Twins overcame an early two-run deficit to take down the Royals 4-2 at Target Field. Jose Miranda tied the game with an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth before Jorge Polanco put Minnesota up for good with a sacrifice fly later in the frame. Joe Ryan earned his ninth win after giving up two runs in five-and-a-third innings, and Jorge Lopez picked up his 21st save. The Twins are two games back of Cleveland for the AL Central lead. Vinnie Pasquantino hit a two-run home run in the losing effort, and Kris Bubic was charged with the loss after allowing four runs in five-and-two-thirds innings. Kansas City has lost three of four.
