The Royals suffered a crushing loss in Minnesota. They carried a 3-0 lead into the bottom of the ninth, but Lucas Erceg and Matt Strahm couldn’t close it out. With two outs, Kody Clemens blasted a grand slam to give the Twins a 4-3 walk-off victory. Noah Cameron was outstanding, throwing eight innings on 97 pitches. He held a no-hitter through six innings and retired nine of the final 10 batters he faced. Ten of the Royals’ last 13 games have been decided by one run. Minnesota scored just seven runs in the three-game series, with six of them coming in the bottom of the ninth inning.
