COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri volleyball (4-2) team swept Northwestern State University, 25-13, 25-16, 25-20, in the closing match of the Mizzou Invitational, Saturday, Sept. 3.
Sophomore outside hitter Kaylee Cox led the Mizzou attack to push the Tigers over the Lady Demons.

Kaylee Cox: 14 kills, 13 digs, seven aces
Anna Dixon: eight kills, two blocks
Riley Buckley: 28 assists, seven digs

#MIZ TAKEWAYS
- Freshman Janet deMarrais made her second appearance in a Tigers uniform, recording an impressive eight kills and two blocks.
- The Tigers used a strong serve to keep pressure on the Lady Demons recording 12 service aces. Cox accounted for seven of those, marking the first time a Tiger has recorded seven aces in a single match since 2018.
- Cox recorded her fourth-straight double-double of the season. The sophomore has recorded a double-double in all but one match this season.
- At the net, the Tigers had a total of 16 blocks as sophomore Trista Strasser recorded a match-best six. deMarrais had a season-best three rejections.
