Denver Broncos 21, Jacksonville Jaguars 17
Latavius Murray scored a go-ahead touchdown with 1:43 remaining to lift the Broncos to victory. Denver snapped a four-game losing streak to improve to 3-5 on the season.
Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson returned after a one-game absence and completed 18 of 30 passes for 252 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
The Jaguars have lost five straight games. Running back Travis Etienne was the lone bright spot with 156 rushing yards.
Philadelphia Eagles 35, Pittsburgh Steelers 13
The Eagles improved to 7-0 this season behind their high-powered offensive attack. Philadelphia accounted for 401 total yards as quarterback Jalen Hurts led the way through the air. Hurts completed 19 of 28 passes for 285 yards and four touchdowns. He found receiver A.J. Brown for three touchdowns.
The Steelers averaged 4.3 yards per play as they lost their second consecutive game.
New Orleans Saints 24, Las Vegas Raiders 0
Saints running back Alvin Kamara had a career day against the Raiders. He accounted for 158 total yards and three total touchdowns. Kamara was a favorite target of Saints quarterback Andy Dalton. He hauled in nine of 10 targets to pace the offense.
The Raiders were out of sync all afternoon. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr threw for just 101 yards.
Meanwhile, the Saints shut down Raiders’ backfield as the unit mustered just 38 rushing yards.
The Saints improved to 3-5 overall on the season.
Atlanta Falcons 37, Carolina Panthers 34
The Falcons outlasted the Panthers in a true NFC South slugfest. The Falcons held serve late in overtime as kicker Younghoe Koo nailed a game-winning 41-yard field goal.
Panthers running back D’Onta Foreman rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown. Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts scored his third career touchdown and finished with 80 receiving yards.
Panthers receiver D.J. Moore hauled in a game-tying 62-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter, but he yanked off his helmet during a celebration in the end zone, resulting in a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
Moore’s blunder pushed back the PAT to a 48-yard attempt, and Eddie Piñeiro pulled it left of the upright.
Carolina had another chance to win in OT after C.J. Henderson returned an interception 54 yards to the Falcons 20. But Piñeiro botched another kick, yanking a wobbler left again from 32 yards out — shorter than a regular extra point.
New England Patriots 22, New York Jets 17
The Patriots won their 13th consecutive game against the Jets. Bill Belichick also passed George Halas for second place on the all-time wins list.
The Patriots utilized a balanced effort to outscore the Jets 16-7 after halftime.
Devin McCourty had two of the Patriots’ three interceptions of Zach Wilson. Nick Folk kicked five field goals against his former team.
The Jets snapped a four-game winning streak and fell to 5-3 overall.
Minnesota Vikings 34, Arizona Cardinals 26
Vikings running back Dalvin Cook rushed for 111 yards and scored a touchdown as Minnesota improved to 6-1 this season.
K.J. Osborn scored a go-ahead 5-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Vikings held on late behind a furious rally by the Cardinals.
Za’Darius Smith had three sacks of Kyler Murray.
Arizona receiver DeAndre Hopkins has not missed a beat since returning from a six-game suspension. He hauled in 12 catches for 159 yards and scored a touchdown in his second game back.
Miami Dolphins 31, Detroit Lions 27
Dolphins receivers Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill combined for 20 receptions and 294 yards in the victory. The Dolphins outscored the Lions 14-0 after halftime as both teams moved the football efficiently.
Lions running back Jamaal Williams scored two touchdowns as he paced the Detroit backfield.
Dallas Cowboys 49, Chicago Bears 29
Tony Pollard rushed for 131 yards and scored three touchdowns. Dak Prescott threw for two touchdowns and ran for another score. And Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons scored a 36-yard fumble recovery in the victory.
The Bears fell to 3-5 on the season. Justin Fields completed 17 of 23 passes for 151 yards.
Tennessee Titans 17, Houston Texans 10
Derrick Henry dominated the Houston Texans again, running for 219 yards and two touchdowns to carry the Tennessee Titans to a 17-10 win on Sunday.
It was Henry’s fourth straight 200-yard game against the Texans, making him the first player in NFL history to have at least 150 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in four consecutive games against the same opponent. The 28-year-old has six 200-yard games in his career, tying O.J. Simpson and Adrian Peterson for the most in NFL history.
With rookie quarterback Malik Willis making his first start for the injured Ryan Tannehill, the AFC South-leading Titans (5-2) went to Henry early and often. He ripped off a season-long 41-yard run on his second carry of the game and never looked back against Houston’s NFL-worst run defense.
Henry had a season-high 32 carries and touchdown runs of 29 yards and 1 yard to help the Titans build a 14-3 lead.
The last-place Texans (1-5-1) couldn’t get anything going on offense and didn’t crack 100 yards until late in the fourth quarter. They finished with 161 yards and were 2 of 14 on third down.
San Francisco 49ers 31, Los Angeles Rams 14
Christian McCaffrey became the 11th player in NFL history with a rushing touchdown, a passing touchdown and a receiving touchdown in one game, and the San Francisco 49ers extended their regular-season mastery over the Rams to four full years with a 31-14 victory over Los Angeles.
McCaffrey threw a 34-yard TD pass to Brandon Aiyuk in the first half, caught a TD pass from Jimmy Garoppolo in the third quarter and then put the Niners (4-4) in control with a TD run early in the fourth.
Garoppolo passed for 235 yards and two touchdowns as San Francisco scored 24 unanswered points to finish its eighth consecutive regular-season victory over its NFC West rivals.
McCaffrey finished with 94 yards rushing and 55 yards receiving. (LaDainian Tomlinson was the last player with rushing, passing and receiving TDs in the same game, doing it for San Diego back in 2005.)
A Cooper Kupp touchdown temporarily put the rival Rams ahead in the second quarter, but after halftime, it was all San Francisco.
Washington Commanders 17, Indianapolis Colts 16
Taylor Heinicke scored on a 1-yard plunge with 22 seconds left, capping an 89-yard drive in the final 2 1/2 minutes and sending the Washington Commanders to a 17-16 victory over the Indianapolis Colts.
Terry McLaurin set up the decisive score by wrestling the ball away from cornerback Stephon Gilmore for a 33-yard catch one play before Heinicke scored.
Washington (4-4) has won three straight.
Indy (3-4-1) managed only one TD in Sam Ehlinger’s first career start. He took over at quarterback this week when coach Frank Reich announced longtime veteran Matt Ryan had been benched.
Ehlinger finished 17 of 23 for 201 yards, and he also had six carries for 15 yards. He was sacked twice.
Seattle Seahawks 27, New York Giants 13
Tyler Lockett caught a 33-yard touchdown pass from Geno Smith with 9:18 left, and the Seattle Seahawks won their third straight, 27-13 over the New York Giants on Sunday.
Lockett made up for two big mistakes earlier in the game and Seattle rookie running back Kenneth Walker III finally broke free, helping the surprising Seahawks (5-3) stay atop the NFC West.
New York (6-2) saw its four-game win streak snapped entering its bye week and lost ground to undefeated Philadelphia in the NFC East — largely because the Seahawks corralled Saquon Barkley, who was held to a season-low 53 yards on 20 carries and had three catches for 9 yards.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Buffalo Bills 27, Green Bay Packers 17
Stefon Diggs led the Buffalo Bills to a 27-17 win Sunday night over the Green Bay Packers, who are off to their worst start eight games into a season under Aaron Rodgers.
Diggs began by exchanging words before and after pregame warmups in the tunnel with Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander. He then burned Green Bay with six catches for 108 yards and a 26-yard touchdown.
The AFC-leading Bills (6-1) never trailed in winning their fourth straight and matching their best start to a season since 1993.
Josh Allen finished 13 of 25 for 218 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. He added 49 yards rushing, including a powerful 20-yard gain on third-and-14 to set up his 1-yard TD pass to Dawson Knox that opened the scoring.
The three-time defending NFC North champion Packers dropped to 3-5. The four-game skid is the second-longest under Rodgers and the team’s worst since 2016. Green Bay hasn’t been 3-5 since 2006, Brett Favre’s second-to-last season.
Rodgers finished 19 of 30 for 203 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. He was limited by an injury-depleted group of receivers. Green Bay was already missing veterans Allen Lazard (shoulder) and Randall Cobb (ankle), and then lost Christian Watson to a concussion in the first quarter.
Tonight On MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
The (4-3) Cincinnati Bengals are in Cleveland to battle the (2-5) Browns.
Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore caught a hail mary pass at the end of the 4th quarter to tie the game with the Falcons. Unfortunately, in his celebration, he removed his helmet in the end zone and cost the team 15 yards on the extra point, which the kicker missed. The Panthers ended up losing in overtime.
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey tosses a touchdown PASS to Brandon Aiyuk (Christian McCaffrey became the first player since 2005 to run, catch and throw a touchdown in the same game. He’s only the 4th player in history to do it.)
