West Plains, MO. – West Plains School is excited to welcome Kate Tyree to their coaching staff. Kate is a familiar face around the Zizzer Softball team. She has been an active pitching coach volunteer within the team for multiple years.
Kate is a Zizzer alumnus; graduating from WPHS in 2011. Kate Tyree was a Zizzer Softball standout. Her favorite memory of High School softball was going undefeated her sophomore year, playing with an extremely talented and competitive team of seniors. She noted; “I was very lucky to play and learn from them.”
She also shared that setting the strikeout record in her junior and senior years was one of her softball highlights. When asked what she is the most excited about this upcoming season; Kate said; “I am excited to be able to support the pitchers and continue to work with the young athletes on our team.”
Outside of coaching responsibilities, Kate enjoys her role as a banker at West Plains Bank and Trust Company, spending time with family, and running.
